Donations for Operation Christmas Child being collected now

Operation Christmas Child is underway for another year in central Alberta.

Citizens are encouraged to fill a shoebox with items ranging from school supplies and hygiene products to toys, photos or even a personal note.

Boxes can be picked up and dropped off at the Canadian Tire south location in Red Deer, as well as at the After the Grind Coffee Shop in Blackfalds.

The dropoff deadline is November 17 and they can also be taken to CrossRoads Church on Nov. 17, 18 and 20.

Operation Christmas Child sends shoeboxes around the world at Christmas to children who need the items inside.
