Shooting under investigation in village of Warburg

RCMP are investigating after a shooting incident in the village of Warburg, a 15-minute drive west of Thorsby.

Mounties say it was early Sunday morning when a male victim attended a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Police were informed and began the investigation.

Thus far, it’s been determined that at about 11 p.m. on August 1, a male was shot at a residence and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

One male youth was arrested without incident and is awaiting charges to be laid.

RCMP say the incident appears to be isolated.
