Rebels stymied by Tigers in final game before Christmas
The Canadian Hockey League lifted its ban on import goaltenders for the 2018-19 season and the Medicine Hat Tigers are reaping the benefits.
Danish netminder Mads Sogaard was nothing short of superb Friday night at the Enmax Centrium in making 49 saves in a 4-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels.
The Tigers are now 4-0 versus the Rebels this season.
Chris Douglas opened the scoring for Red Deer 5:33 into period one when his one-timer shot, somewhat of a knuckler, eluded Sogaard for his 10th goal of the season.
