The driver was found to have a suspended licence and was taken into custody.

A search of the driver and the vehicle he was driving resulted in police finding a loaded Sig Sauer handgun, cocaine, methamphetamine, and a large amount of Canadian money.

The 34-year-old from Buck Lake is facing the following charges; possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of meth, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5000, carrying a concealed weapon, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm, and driving while unauthorized.

The man, whose name is being withheld due to reasons related to the investigation, is due in court Dec. 19 in Rocky Mountain House.
