Hockey Alberta invites 80 to try out for Canada Winter Games male team

The selection process for Team Alberta’s U16 male hockey team for the 2019 Canada Winter Games has been narrowed down to 80 players.

The invitees will skate at a summer camp from July 3-8 in Camrose. The players were chosen based in their performances throughout their bantam seasons and at the 2018 Alberta Cup.

Hockey Alberta has narrowed the list of potential players for the Team Alberta group that will represent the province at the 2019 Canada Winter Games.

The group of eight goalies, 24 defencemen, and 48 forward includes goalie Drew Sim from Tees, defencemen Bosten Lajeunesse of Red Deer and Charlie Wright of Olds and forwards Zachery Burns  from Eckville, Jayden Henderson from Sylvan Lake, Myles Hilman of Blackfalds and Kaedin Larocque-Wolfe from Maskwacis.
