Ponoka Mounties arrest Ontario man wanted for sexual assault
Mounties in Ponoka say they’ve arrested an Ontario man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for sexual assault.
The arrest took place on Wednesday. Police say it was shortly after 11:00 a.m. when they received information on the whereabouts of the wanted male.
A short time later, Ponoka RCMP members, with assistance from the Ponoka General Investigations Unit and the Ponoka Integrated Traffic Unit, descended on a residence in Ponoka, obtained a warrant to enter the dwelling, and located arrested the from Ontario on the Canada-wide warrant.
Daniel Sanche, 36, was being sought on a Canada wide warrant out of Dryden, Ontario for three counts of sexual assault, three counts of sexual interference and two counts of assault.
