Red Deer holiday waste collection schedules

Waste collection schedules will be altered to accommodate the Christmas Day and New Year’s Day statutory holidays, which both fall on a Tuesday this year.

Residents with regular Tuesday pickup will see a change to their garbage, recycling and Green Cart collection schedule from December 25 to January 4.

Homes with regular collection on Tuesdays will be temporarily rescheduled as follows:

– Johnstone Crossing, Johnstone Park and Normandeau will be moved to Wednesday collection
– College Park, Kentwood, Timberstone and Timberlands will be moved to Thursday collection
– Glendale, Pines and annexed areas will be moved to Friday collection

Collection schedules will return to normal on Monday, January 7, 2018.

Residents with questions can contact The City by calling The Blue Line at 403-340-BLUE (2583) or visiting reddeer.ca/garbage.

Other reminders:

– Residents must set out all materials before 7 a.m. for pickup
– Wrapping paper, tissue paper and Styrofoam are not accepted in blue boxes, as The City’s recycling program is currently unable to process these materials.
