Red Deer’s biggest Star Wars fan, hands down, had his dream come true this weekend, and George Lucas couldn’t have written a better script for how it played out.

Fossil fuels may be our bread and butter, but if you ask the folks involved with renewable and alternative energy initiatives at Red Deer College, that reality is swiftly changing.

That’s right, Christmas is just 65 days away.

The Red Deer Rebels just keep on winning, picking up another two points against divisional rival Kootenay on Saturday night at the Enmax Centrium.

The final score was 4-3, but the game would need overtime to decide bragging rights.
