RCMP report March 14th – 21st

2019-03-14 @ 2:26 P.M. – Theft of a rifle from a residence on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve.

2019-03-15 @ 9:04 A.M. – Theft of a 1997 black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck (Alberta license plate BDB-3080) taken from in front of residence in Rocky Mountain House.

2019-03-15 @ 1:54 P.M. – Information received from a resident of Rocky Mountain House advising that a fraudulent phone call was received from a septic company based out of Michigan. Nothing was purchased.

2019-03-15 @ 3:46 P.M. – Police attempted to stop a vehicle on the O’Chiese First Nation, however it failed to stop and sped away. It was located a short time later stuck in the ditch. After a foot pursuit, two adult males were apprehended. Methamphetamine and a large sum of money was found. Charges are pending.

2019-03-16 @ 00:02 A.M. – Complaint of a noisy party at an apartment complex in Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and requested the tenants to quiet down.

2019-03-16 @ 1:03 P.M. – Report of an intoxicated female passed out in a Rocky Mountain House parking lot. Police attended along with EMS. After an assessment she was arrested and lodged in cells until sober.

2019-03-16 @ 5:26 P.M. – A vehicle was stopped for failing to stop at a stop sign on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. The driver was found to be a “suspended driver” and the vehicle wasn’t insured or registered. Violation tickets issued and the vehicle was seized for 30 days.

2019-03-16 @ 9:38 P.M. – Stolen orange Dodge Ram truck from Eckville recovered by Rocky RCMP east of Rocky Mountain House.

2019-03-17 @ 00:42 A.M. – Traffic stop initiated in Rocky Mountain House after a vehicle failed to stop for a red light. A “Mandatory Alcohol Screening” test was conducted which the driver failed. He was subsequently arrested and escorted to the detachment where he provided breath samples over the legal limit. Charges are pending.

2019-03-17 @ 3:34 A.M. – Vehicle stopped on the highway after it was observed swerving all over the road. The adult male driver was arrested for “Impaired Driving” and was brought back to the detachment where breath samples were obtained well over the legal limit. Charges pending.

2019-03-17 @ 6:04 P.M. – Complaint of an assault in Caroline. Under investigation.

2019-03-18 @ 3:35 A.M. – While on patrol, RCMP officers observed a structure fire off of Highway 11A, Clearwater County. While officers banged on the doors and windows of the residence to awaken the lone occupant and help him leave, Clearwater Regional Fire Rescue Services & EMS were dispatched. No injuries.

2019-03-18 @ 2:24 P.M. – 911 call to assist EMS with a male on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve who had been assaulted.

2019-03-18 @ 11:20 P.M. – Complaint of an assault on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Under investigation.

2019-03-19 @ 2:40 P.M. – Break and enter into a cabin and shed off of highway intersection 591, in Clearwater County.

2019-03-19 @ 5:07 P.M. – Shoplifter reported at a Rocky Mountain House liquor store. Under investigation.

2019-03-20 @ 00:05 A.M. – While on patrol on Range Road 6-1 and township road 37-0, Clearwater County, police observed an SUV parked on the side of the road. The vehicle sped off when the police were spotted, leaving a quad in the middle of the road. It appeared that the vehicle had been towing the quad which was determined to have been stolen from a nearby residence. The registered owner was contacted.

2019-03-20 @ 6:07 A.M. – Report of a male and female walking down the street checking for unlocked vehicles. Patrols made but subjects not located.

2019-03-21 @ 00:35 A.M. – Report of an abandoned vehicle in Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and discovered that the vehicle, which had a door handle ripped off and a smashed out rear window, had been stolen from Red Deer.

2019-03-21 @ 8:27 A.M. – Report received by a complainant on horseback who, while riding on and old quad trail, discovered a black newer Chevrolet pickup abandoned in the bushes in the Chedderville area of Clearwater County. The truck had been stripped and had no license plate. Investigation revealed that it had been stolen from the Red Deer area back in November of 2018. The registered owner and Insurance Company were notified. No leads.

2019-03-21 @ 1:51 P.M. – 911 call of a stolen black 2007 Ford Focus, running with the keys in it had been taken from a residence in Rocky Mountain House.
