The 2018-19 season has come to an end for the Drayton Valley Thunder.

The Thunder were edged 4-3 Monday night at the Omniplex by the Spruce Grove Saints, the defending league champions who took the opening round AJHL North Division playoff series three games to one.

It was a heartbreaking loss for the Thunder as Cory Babichuk scored the winning goal with just 10 seconds left in the third period.

Jeremy Klessens had a goal and an assist for the Thunder while Luke Lush made 35 saves in net.

Spruce Grove took the series opener 2-0 and game two 2-1 before the Thunder rebounded to take game three 1-0.
