Lush, Thurston nominated for AJHL awards

Two members of the Drayton Valley Thunder have been nominated for Alberta Junior Hockey League awards.

Goalie Luke Lush is nominated for both AJHL MVP and Top Goaltender.

Lush was acquired by Drayton Valley from Camrose after playing just four games this year for the Kodiaks. The 20-year-old has had a career year posting a .922 save percentage along with a 2.46 GAA.

Thunder head coach Eric Thurston earned a nomination for the AJHL Coach of the Year award.

Thurston has coached the Thunder to a 21-26-6 record and a berth in playoffs.
