Red Deer College invites central Albertans to join us as the School of Creative Arts brings creativity to life through diverse performances, screenings and exhibitions. RDC’s talented students, instructors, staff and special guests will present the following events throughout the month of February:

Visual Arts Faculty & Staff Exhibition Reception February 1 | 5:00 p.m. | Welikoklad Event Centre Gallery Explore a variety of creative works from our faculty in Visual Arts, many of whom work as practicing artists in the community.
RDC Faculty Recital February 2 | 7:30 p.m. | Mainstage, Arts Centre | FREE Please join us this Groundhog Day for an evening recital hosted by RDC Music faculty and friends. Contrasting Balzac Billy’s claim on winter, let our solo and chamber works set your ears ablaze with an eclectic mosaic of music both past and present, offering a vivid contrast to our mid-winter’s blustery soundscape.

2019 Oscar Nominated Short Films February 8 & 9 | $10 to attend both shows Welikoklad Event Centre Cinema
RDC Motion Picture Arts, and Animation and Visual Effects programs are proud to features the year’s most spectacular Oscar short films, including several Canadian film nominations, across Animation and Live Action for a limited time on the big screen. Be sure to tune in to the 91st Oscar Awards on February 24.
