Three Rebels on mid-term NHL Draft rankings

Three members of the Red Deer Rebels are included on the NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings for the 2019 NHL Draft.

Forward Oleg Zaytsev is ranked 38th among North American Skaters. In his first season with the Rebels, the 18-year-old forward has 29 points in 42 games.

Rebels forward Alex Morozoff is ranked 182nd. The 17-year-old from Saskatoon has 13 points in 44 games this season, his second in the WHL.

Ethan Anders, meantime, is ranked 13th among North American Goaltenders. The 18-year-old from Regina has been stellar for this Rebels with a 3.06 goals-against-average and 0.911 save-percentage.

Red Deer native Luke Bast, an 18-year-old defenceman with the AJHL’s Brooks Bandits, is ranked 158th among North American Skaters. Bast is in his second season with the Bandits (27 points in 31 games) and has committed to play NCAA hockey next season for the University of North Dakota.
