House fire in Wetaskiwin claims two lives

Two people have died in a house fire early Sunday morning in Wetaskiwin.
RCMP say they responded along with the city’s fire department to the blaze on 45 Avenue near 54 Street around 1:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, the home was fully engulfed in flames.
Sadly, a 88-year-old female and 62-year-old male, both residents of the house, were pronounced dead on scene.
No other persons were inside the residence at the time, police say.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
