Red Deer DBA welcomes five new board members

RED DEER- The Downtown Business Association (DBA) has five new members on the Board of Directors.

They are:

Dulcie Timmons – Group2 Architecture
Julie Oliver – MNP LLP
Kathryn Harris – Sunworks, Practitioners of Good Taste
Phil Eagle – Hudsons Canada’s Pub
Vicki Finlay – Junktiques Home Décor

They will join existing members Clayton Ganson, Diana Heinzlmeir, Kerstin Heuer and Lisa Spencer-Cook.

City Councillor Buck Buchanan will remain The City of Red Deer Council Representative.

Inspector Dean LaGrange of the Red Deer RCMP joins the Board of Directors as a non-voting member.

“When the Board of Directors is represented by a variety of businesses including retail, restaurant and professional services, it allows for multiple points of view when it comes to strategic planning and decision making,” said Amanda Gould, Executive Director. “With the new members joining the Board for the 2019-2021 period I am confident that the DBA will continue to provide services that all industries can benefit from.”

The DBA wishes to thank departing board members Allie Grande, Danielle Harvey, Sean Draper, and Paula Maitland for their involvement with the Board of Directors.

Board members will meet in January 2019 to select the executive for the year.
