RDCRS celebrating International Education Week

Nov 12, 2018 | 8:24 AM

Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools are celebrating their 51 students from across the globe enrolled in their international student services program during International Education Week November 12-16.

RDCRS officials say International students enroll in a middle or high school to benefit from the education and cultural experiences while studying in Red Deer.

Furthermore, some students strive to graduate with an Alberta high school diploma and then attend university, which allows them to be employable in their home country.

“Having international students in the classroom is beneficial,” states Paul Stewart, Program Director of International Students Sservices. “Canadian students get the opportunity to learn about various cultures. International students get to receive the Canadian cultural experience.”
