Lost kayakers rescued from Ram River area

Rocky Mountain House RCMP say three adults were rescued from the Ram River area Friday after they became lost while on a kayaking trip.

Mounties were contacted around 3:45 p.m. by the International Emergency Response Coordination Center, which had received an SOS signal from a handheld device in the Ram River area.

Police say the complainant advised that the group of three were lost, low on supplies and one of them had sustained a minor injury.

Emergency Services including police and the Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue were dispatched to help. All three adults were located by helicopter by the Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue.
