Officials with Clearview Public Schools have announced two new principals this week.

Kate Syson has accepted the position as principal of Botha School and Gwen Keith has accepted the position as principal of Byemoor School.

Syson began her teaching career at Clive School in 2005 and later moved to Ponoka School where she was an inclusive education specialist.

However, she returned ‘home’ to Stettler in 2013 and most recently has been the Vice Principal at Stettler Elementary School.

“I have absolutely loved my time here at SES and am very thankful to have worked with such a great admin team, staff, parents and students, says Syson in a press release. “I believe this experience has prepared me for this new and exciting opportunity. I am very eager and looking forward to meeting the students, staff, and parents at Botha School and becoming an integral part of the Botha community.”

Gwen Keith began her teaching career in Byemoor 29 years ago and has taught Kindergarten to Grade 3. During this current school year she was also the Vice Principal.

“Though I have always taught the primary grades, I enjoy working with the older students with whole school activities, concerts, and trips,” says Keith. “There is a great team at Byemoor School that I enjoy working with already and moving forward, I hope we are able to build on our strengths in order to support the success of all of our students. The Byemoor and Endiang community is very supportive of our school and I look forward to continuing to work with people from the community in various capacities as well.”
