Giddy up: Bars open early for Calgary Stampede

CALGARY- Bars, restaurants and lounges in the city can start serving alcohol earlier in the day during the 10 days of the Calgary Stampede.
The province has decided to extend liquor service hours.
Certain establishments can start serving alcohol as early as 8 a.m. from July 6 to July 15.
Similar rules are in effect for the early morning World Cup soccer matches, allowing bars and restaurants showing the games to start serving alcohol when they start.
