Rage undefeated in league play so far

The Red Deer Rage kicked-off their GPLS (Girls Prairie League Softball) Pink Sox Weekend in St. Albert Friday with a 7-5 win over the Melfort Spirit.

A late two out rally in the bottom of the 5th inning saw the Rage score 4 runs to help earn the victory.

Abbie Eisenhawer was on the mound for the win and pitched the entire game with six strikeouts and zero batters walked. 

All teams purchase & wear pink team socks to raise money for cancer. 

On Saturday afternoon, it took Aesthetic Solutions U19B Rage Fastball only 7 hits and 3.5 Innings to beat Lacombe Matrix 15-5. 

Alli Vesely was on the mound for the Rage, pitching 8 Strikeouts and Zero walks.  

On Saturday night, the Aesthetic Solutions U19B Rage Fastball team took extra innings to defeat the Unity Panthers 7-5. 

Ashlynn Webb earned a 3 run home run in the 8th inning that was too much for Unity to match. 

On Sunday afternoon, the Rage took on the Irma Tigers.

Abbie Eisenhawer’s double in the 4th inning drove in the go ahead RBI and the Aesthetic Solutions U19B Rage team would go on to win 6-3.  

On Sunday night, the Aesthetic Solutions U19B Rage Fastball team took the lead in the first inning over the Central Alberta Impact from Clive and never looked back, eventually winning 9-3. 

Morgan Hunter hit two doubles for the Rage. 

The win means the Rage are now undefeated in league play.  

Their next action is this coming weekend where they will be in the Shakers tournament in Leduc.
