Northlands Coliseum a housing development?

EDMONTON- A group of developers want to transform the former home of the Edmonton Oilers into a housing development.

The proposal for the Northlands Coliseum includes student and seniors housing, apartment-style homes and a hotel.

The Coliseum was expected to be demolished.

The city says it is reviewing the housing and dozens of other ideas to revitalize the Northlands exhibition lands.

The developers say if approved, the housing project would take 18 months to build.
