Town of Blackfalds finances in excellent shape

It appears the Town of Blackfalds’s finances are in excellent shape.

That according to Grant Stange, Partner of Collins Barrow Chartered Professional Accountants who presented the 2017 audited financial statements of the Town of Blackfalds for Council’s consideration and approval this week.

According to Town officials, municipal finances continue to be strong, with Operations doing an excellent job of staying within budget and having no unexpected expenditures.

In his report to Council, Stange indicated there were no major errors or omissions identified and they issued a clear audit opinion. There was also a small surplus of roughly $140,000 in the Town’s 2017 budget.
