Impaired driving charges laid in fatal 2017 collision near Wetaskiwin

A woman has been charged with impaired driving causing death following an incident in rural Wetaskiwin County.

RCMP say they were dispatched on June 8 of last year to a vehicle collision rollover situation in which several people were ejected from their vehicles.

Police found two people in critical condition upon their arrival. Another male was not injured.

All of them were taken to hospital where one man passed away from his injuries.

Mounties concluded their investigation on April 8 and have charged Madeline Saskatchewan of Maskwacis with several charges related to impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
