Correctional Service Canada reviewing Bowden inmate death

Correctional Service Canada is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the death of an inmate at the Bowden Institution.

CSC officials say Emergency Services was called to the prison around 10:00 a.m. on November 11, with 34-year-old inmate Cody Adams immediately taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead at 3:00 a.m.  November 12.

At the time of his death, CSC officials say Adams was serving a two-year, four months and 24 day sentence for Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime, Forcible Confinement and Break and Enter with Intent since May 30, 2016.

Next of kin has been notified.
