Stang was one of 13 Canadian competitors at the competition to receive a medal of excellence. Canada sent a total of 29 people.

There were more than 1,400 competitors overall, from 70 countries and regions.

The next Skills Canada Alberta Post-Secondary Competition will take place on May 5 and 6, 2027 in Calgary. Gold medal recipients will advance to the Skills Canada National Competition held on May 27 and 28, 2027. The top apprentices in each trade will represent their institution and Canada at the 49th WorldSkills Competition from November 15-20, 2028 in Aichi, Japan.
