Forever Canadian Unity Bus to stop in Sundre on September 4

The Forever Canadian Unity Bus will be rolling into Sundre on Friday, September 4.

The family-friendly event will run from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Gazebo across from the Town of Sundre building and is aimed at encouraging people to vote in the upcoming referendum.

The event will feature a photo op with a large Forever Canadian sign, as well as sidewalk chalk, a sign-up table for free lawn signs, and refreshments.

Canadian flags and lawn signs will be handed out by volunteers, and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

“Although I agree that Alberta’s relationship with Canada isn’t perfect, I’d prefer to elect a premier and a government who would work with our federal government to improve the relationship,” said Kim Free, local organizer of the Sundre stop. “Alberta is better to remain in Canada – we are stronger together.”

The event is part of a broader tour launched by Thomas Lukaszuk and Forever Canadian, a movement focused on keeping Alberta within Canada.

Organizers want to remind the public that the event is not a fundraiser and no donations will be solicited on-site.
