The British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) announced they’ll host their upcoming Road Show event in Cold Lake, Alta.

On Feb. 12 and 13, 2027, the Blackfalds Bulldogs will face the Sherwood Park Crusaders in two regular season games at the Cold Lake Energy Centre.

In addition, the event will feature some community engagement involving the two teams, the BCHL office, and some special guests.

“After our successful track record of hosting this event in Northern B.C. dating back to 2020, we are excited to bring the Road Show to Cold Lake and the province of Alberta for the first time ever,” said BCHL Commissioner Steven Cocker. “As we have learned from previous years, this event is such an effective way to bring communities together through the sport of hockey. We can’t wait to get out there in February, meet the great people of Cold Lake, and show them what the BCHL is all about.”

“We would also like to extend a special thank you to the City of Cold Lake for supporting this event.”

The fifth edition of the Road Show will be the first time the event has been held in Alberta. Previously, it’s been held in multiple B.C. communities including Kitimat, Burns Lake, and Quesnel.

“We are thrilled to have the BCHL Road Show come through Cold Lake this year,” said Mayor Bob Mattice. “We are a fanatical hockey town with facilities built to showcase junior hockey, so it’s an exciting stop for the Road Show to make. We know the teams will enjoy the facilities and the crowds will love the hockey, so it’s a perfect match. After being named the Edmonton Oilers Oil Country Community last year, this is another great opportunity for Cold Lake to showcase its love for quality hockey.”

Ticket information will be announced at a later date.
