Provincial AI data centre town hall scheduled in Ponoka on Aug. 19

The Government of Alberta is set to host a town hall in Ponoka this week to provide information on AI data centre development throughout the province.

The event in Ponoka is set for Wednesday, Aug. 19 at the Ponoka Town Hall from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Those in attendance will have an opportunity to provide input and are asked to register for the town hall ahead of time. Those interested can do so at Alberta.ca.

“Albertans deserve real answers on what these new infrastructure investments mean for them,” said Nate Glubish, Minister of Technology and Innovation. “This website puts the facts about power, water and community impact in one place, so people can see for themselves how Alberta is responsibly developing AI data centres on our own terms.”
