Red Deer business owners, residents provide feedback on improving downtown safety
Business owners, residents, and community partners provided feedback to the City of Red Deer on Tuesday in hopes it will help improve community safety and well-being in the downtown.
With approximately 50-60 participants, the City of Red Deer held a Greater Downtown engagement session at the Red Deer Public Library, which focused on community safety within the greater downtown district.
The city explained there are four primary neighbourhoods within the greater downtown, including the historic downtown, Railyards, Capstone, and Parkvale.
The session was put on to gather feedback that will help inform future decisions and priorities by the new Greater Downtown Governance Committee that will be formed this fall.
