Missing: Steven Cortez, 58, of Alberta

Wood Buffalo RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating missing 58-year-old Steven Cortez.

Mounties say Cortez was last seen July 27, 2026, in Fort McMurray. Police add, he is known to frequent Fort McMurray, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Lethbridge. 

He may be driving a red Jeep Liberty with Alberta licence plate CPD5446. There is concern for his wellbeing and RCMP would like to speak with him. 

Steven Cortez is described as: 

  • 5 ft, 11 inches;
  • 229 pounds;
  • Bald;
  • Green eyes; and
  • Last seen wearing grey sweat shorts, black tee shirt.
