Amber Mack hired as new GM of Community Futures Central Alberta

Community Futures Central Alberta (CFCA) has appointed a new general manager.

On Monday, they announced that Amber Mack will take on the role, who they say is a highly respected leader with over 20 years of experience.

“It is a privilege to join Community Futures Central Alberta and build upon the strong foundation established by those who have helped shape the organization over the past 35 years,” said Mack in a media release. “I look forward to working alongside our Board, staff, partners, and clients as we continue supporting small businesses, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities throughout Central Alberta.”

She brings a widespread background of work in municipal government, nonprofit leadership, business advocacy, governance, and community development.

Most recently, she served as COO of the Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce and, before that, was the executive director at The Golden Circle Senior Resource Centre.

“Amber’s depth of experience and her strong commitment to community development make her an exceptional fit for this role,” said Len Phillips, Board Chair of Community Futures Central Alberta. “Her proven leadership, ability to bring people together, and passion for supporting local businesses will help guide CFCA into an exciting new chapter as we continue to serve entrepreneurs and communities across Central Alberta.”

CFCA also extended gratitude to outgoing General Manager Kelly Kierluk for her exceptional leadership and dedication since 2009.

Over the past 17 years, she has played a pivotal role in advancing CFCA’s mission, supporting entrepreneurs, and strengthening communities across Central Alberta.

The organization said Kierluk’s leadership has left a lasting impact on the organization, and they wish her every success as she moves into her new role as executive director of the Community Futures Network of Alberta.
