Rebels sign goaltender Nathan Salisbury

The Red Deer Rebels have signed goaltender Nathan Salisbury to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

The 17-year-old from Edmonton, who will celebrate his birthday on June 18, suited up for the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League this past season, where in 34 games, he posted a 3.21 goals against average, .902 save percentage and a 17-14-1 record.

As a result, the 6’3, 175-pound netminder was named to the AJHL North Division All-Rookie Team.

In 2024-25, he played for the Edmonton Jr. Oilers Blue U18 AAA of the Alberta Elite Hockey League. That year, he posted a 14-4-5 record with a 2.45 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage.
