Four-year sentence for man convicted in Red Deer armed robbery
A four-year jail term has been handed to a young Red Deer man for his part in a residential robbery nearly two years ago.
Austin Dampier, 20, was found guilty of six counts in Red Deer Court of Justice on July 31, 2026.
Those counts include robbery with a firearm, assault, unlawful confinement, possession of property under $5000, pointing a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm. Three other counts were withdrawn on Jan. 7, 2026.
Dampier was also given a 10-year firearm prohibition and ordered to pay $470.38 in restitution.
