NextGen Western Golf Championship comes to Ponoka on Thursday

The NextGen Western Golf Championship is set for Ponoka this week.

The three-day tournament put on by Golf Canada will take place from June 4-6 at the Wolf Creek Golf Resort and feature 156 junior boys and girls.

They will play 54 holes and compete for the stroke play championship, which will count towards the players’ World Amateur Golf Rankings.

The tournament will include multiple players from central Alberta, including Bennett Love (Red Deer), Brae Rogalczyk (Innisfail), Casey Silva (Red Deer), Coryn Tardif (Sylvan Lake), Edwin Park (Bentley), Raylee Denton (Red Deer), and Saylar May (Rocky Mountain House).
