McHappy Day goes May 6 across Canada

McHappy Day once again goes this Wednesday, May 6.

Now in its 32nd year, the event will raise funds for Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities, with proceeds supporting families who rely on Ronald McDonald House during times of medical crisis.

Cameron Bay Holdings Inc., which operates the McDonald’s restaurants in Gasoline Alley, donates 100 per cent of all McHappy Day donations to Ronald McDonald House, along with 10 per cent of daily sales.

“In Alberta in 2025, the charity provided 23,778 nights of comfort, served 1,724 families overnight, and supported another 290 families through day passes,” shares Darrelynn Fair, that location’s event lead.

“Cameron Bay Holdings further supports the cause year‑round by preparing monthly meals through the House’s ‘Home for Dinner’ program, reflecting the team’s strong commitment to giving back.”
