Longtime educator Rob Reid has been named the new student attendance success coach at Wolf Creek Public Schools.

Reid has 22 years of experience with the division, and was principal at Lacombe Outreach School for the last decade.

Prior, he was at Wolf Creek Academy, where he developed expertise in creating inclusive, supportive environments grounded in a non-punitive, relationship-based approach.

“Rob brings a strong understanding of student needs and a relationship-focused approach that will be key in this role,” said Kevin Newman, assistant superintendent of education services.

“His experience working with students and families, combined with his commitment to inclusive and supportive practices, will help strengthen how we support attendance and engagement across the division.”

In his new role, Reid will work closely with students, families, school teams, and community partners to support improved student engagement and attendance across WCPS.

According to WCPS, the position focuses on understanding and addressing the underlying causes of absenteeism while helping students reconnect with learning in meaningful and sustainable ways.
