Raiders shut out Rebels in dominant fashion
The Red Deer Rebels have plenty of work ahead of them after falling 6-0 to the Prince Albert Raiders in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
The Raiders now lead the Rebels two games to none in the best-of-seven series following an explosive second period that saw Prince Albert notch five unanswered goals.
Prince Albert dominated Red Deer in multiple facets of the game on Saturday night in front of a sold-out crowd, outshooting them 40-13 at the Art Hauser Centre.
The Raiders notched three power play goals; meantime, the Rebels failed to score on three opportunities. Rebels netminder Matthew Kondro was pulled in the third period after making 30 saves on 36 shots. Shore entered the game in relief and made four saves.
