Updated: Rainfall warning ended

The rainfall warning has ended, as of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Monday: Rainfall is expected to continue across parts of Alberta, including Red Deer, on Tuesday.

Per ECCC:

Heavy rain will taper off to showers through the day.

Since Saturday evening, between 40 and 120 mm has been reported across the province so far, with a few localized amounts of 135 mm in southwestern Alberta. An additional five to 10 mm is expected today.

The Alberta River Forecast Centre provides information on current stream flow conditions and alerts. Check Alberta 511 for road conditions.

Water will pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Local utility outages are possible.

Don’t drive through flooded roadways. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
