City of Red Deer announces the return of ‘Meet Me at the Park’ program

The City of Red Deer announced that the popular recreation program, ‘Meet Me at the Park,’ is set to return this summer.

The program, which is aimed at bringing the community together throughout the city, will offer a wide range of fun activities for Red Deerians of all ages.

Meet Me at the Park will run from July 6 to August 28 in several neighbourhood parks in the city. It will officially begin in the Eastview Estates neighbourhood at 120 Ellenwood Drive.

It run furing the week from Monday to Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Meet Me at the Park offers an array of engaging and inclusive activities designed to encourage physical activity, social interaction, and community engagement,” the city wrote in a media release. “From energetic games to creative activities, this program has something for everyone. Red Deer residents can expect to participate in sports, arts and crafts, and nature-focused activities throughout the season.”

Some of the activities include soccer, basketball, tennis, pickleball, badminton, baseball, circuit courses, obstacle courses, yard games, arts and crafts, and gardening and nature fun.

The city is able to offer the program with the support of various local partners, agencies, and community associations.
