RDPSD students learn all about french language and culture
The Red Deer Public School Division reported that students from École Barrie Wilson spent a week learning about many voices of the French-speaking world as their school celebrated La Semaine de la Francophonie.
The school focused on the global reach of the French language, highlighting the backgrounds of its French Immersion Staff.
Teachers and staff represented French-speaking communities from France, Côte d’Ivoire and Madagascar, as well as Quebec and Alberta.
Throughout the week, classes took part in a variety of activities designed to build excitement around the language and culture.
