Rainfall warning issued for communities north of Red Deer

A rainfall warning has been issued for communities north of Red Deer, including Lacombe, Blackfalds, Ponoka, and many more.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, heavy rain with total amounts of 50 to 90 mm is expected.

Officials say rain will begin overnight tonight and will intensify through the day on Saturday.

The heavy rain is set to continue on Sunday, before gradually tapering off that night.
