‘Green Deer’ initiative comes back to Red Deer for another spring clean-up

Spring is back, and so is Green Deer!

The annual spring cleanup around the city of Red Deer runs March 21 to May 31.

During this time, citizens are encouraged to make the city a little greener by picking up litter at a time and place of their choice.

Organizers say parents and teachers can use the Green Deer Spring Cleanup Campaign as an opportunity to show children and teens that we are all responsible for our own actions, to foster a mindset of environmental stewardship, and to teach the safe handling and disposal of different types of waste.

Registration is easy, and you can win prizes by signing up. Do so here starting March 21.
