Former city employee charged with fraud, scheduled for preliminary hearing
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a former City of Red Deer employee charged with fraud.
Krutisha Patel, 36, a resident of Calgary, is scheduled to see if her case has enough evidence to go to trial, in Red Deer Court of Justice from Feb. 16-17, 2027.
Patel, a former employee in the city’s electric light and power department, has been charged with fraud over $5,000, five counts of laundering proceeds of crime, and using a forged document.
Mounties allege Patel created several fraudulent purchases for goods and services that were never received between 2018 and 2022.
