Red Deer Christmas Bureau book and bottle drive

The Red Deer Christmas Bureau is holding a book and bottle drive this weekend.

It will take place on Jan. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to collect books for the organization’s future book sale on Jan 24 and 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Christmas Bureau will also have Cosmos on site to receive recyclables for collection.

Officials say they are raising money for their literacy center which provides three new or gently used books for each of their clients’ children.

“We believe that education is the key, so this is our small way to help,” reads a statement from the Red Deer Christmas Bureau.
