LPS arrests man after he allegedly keyed two parked vehicles
The Lacombe Police Service have charged a 39-year-old man with two counts of mischief after he allegedly keyed two vehicles in the parking lot of the Lacombe Centre Shopping Mall.
Police say on Dec. 16, in the early afternoon, LPS was attending to another matter when they were alerted by witnesses who observed a man keying two parked vehicles before fleeing the scene in a small black hatchback.
The witnesses provided the RCMP with a license plate number, which was later determined to be registered to a black Saturn Astra.
Police later located the registered owner at his residence in Lacombe and arrested him without incident. He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on Jan. 30, 2026.
