Blackfalds Bulldogs goaltender Olivér Király named one of three BCHL Stars of the Month

Nov 7, 2025 | 3:03 PM

Blackfalds Bulldogs goaltender Olivér Király has been named one of the British Columbia Hockey League’s (BCHL) three Stars of the Month.

Joining Király, who was named the second star of October, are Powell River Kings forward Marek Beaudoin (first star) and Langley Rivermen forward Aaron Reierson (third star).

Király suited up for the Bulldogs for the first time on Oct. 4 and went on to win four of his first five games in the BCHL, including three shutouts in October.

He finished the month with an impressive .964 save percentage and a 0.80 goals-against average.

He dropped his first start in the BCHL, but after that allowed just two combined goals over his next four starts in net, which all resulted in wins.

A native of Budapest, Hungary, he accomplished a 19-save shutout on Oct. 12 against the Surrey Eagles, a 27-save shutout against the Cranbrook Bucks on Oct. 25, and finished the month with yet another shutout against the Spruce Grove Saints, where he made 16 saves.

His three shutouts are tied for the most in the league.

Currently, the Bulldogs are on top of the BCHL’s Interior East Division with a 12-5-0-0 record, seven points ahead of the Brooks Bandits.

The Bulldogs will face the Bandits on Friday at the Eagle Builders Centre at 7 p.m. and again in Brooks on Saturday at 7 p.m.
