Red Deer & District Chamber introduces new CEO

The Red Deer & District Chamber has announced that Frank Creasey is its new CEO.

They welcomed him to the chamber following the organization’s 132nd annual general meeting.

According to the Chamber, Creasey has two decades of leadership experience in financial management, marketing, communications, relationship building, and large-scale event management.

He also has past roles in Alberta, B.C., and internationally, where he led initiatives that strengthened organizations, built strategic partnerships, and advanced community development.

Creasey holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management degree and a Master of Arts in Tourism Management.

“Frank brings a proven track record of building partnerships, driving strategic growth, and strengthening organizations,” said Mike Szyszka, Board President. “We’re confident his leadership will help the Chamber continue to evolve and deliver even greater value for our members and the broader business community.”

The Annual General Meeting also highlighted a year where they added 100 new members and celebrated a record-breaking Agri-Trade Expo.

The Chamber announced several initiatives designed to strengthen member engagement and community impact:

• Tiered Membership Model – A new structure launching this year will provide businesses with greater choice, flexibility, and value, from entry-level memberships for entrepreneurs to premium tiers with enhanced visibility and bundled benefits.
• New Member Committees – Four new committees (Membership, Events, Advocacy, and Marketing) will bring together Directors, staff, and members to shape key programs and priorities.
• Operational Strength – With a new COO role in place, the Chamber is sharpening its focus on both strategic growth and member experience.

“This is an exciting time for the Red Deer & District Chamber,” added Frank. “I look forward to working with the Board, team, and members to build on a strong foundation, expand opportunities, and ensure the Chamber continues to be a driving force for business in Central Alberta.”

Also announced at the AGM is the Chamber’s new tiered membership model, four member-driven committees, and other initiatives. These will officially launch in November.
