Jury trial scheduled for man charged in Sundre area homicide

A three-week jury trial has been scheduled for a man charged in a Sundre, AB, homicide last year.

Richard Thomus Mcculloch, 38, of Sundre, is scheduled for trial in Calgary Court of King’s Bench from June 8-26, 2026.

It was around 12:20 p.m. on Jan. 25, 2024, when Sundre RCMP responded to a report of a male who’d been shot at a home northeast of Sundre in Mountain View County.

Mounties say life-saving efforts were attempted on scene and the man was taken to hospital.
