RCMP respond to fatal collision on Highway 20

The Rimbey RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that happened this morning.

At 9:40 a.m. the RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a grain truck and a passenger vehicle on Highway 20 at Township Road 412 in Lacombe County.

Once they were on scene, emergency responders found the lone driver of the passenger vehicle, who was identified as a 21-year-old female resident of Rimbey, to be deceased.

Meanwhile, the driver of the grain truck did not sustain any injuries.

Police remained on scene for several hours investigating and normal traffic has now resumed.
