Indigenous-owned Red Deer business looking to revolutionize wildfire defense
Red Deer’s CJS Industrial is hoping its new technology can help residents, businesses and municipalities during destructive wildfires.
The tech is called RUFUS for short — or the Rural and Urban Fire Suppression System.
The Red Deer company, which is Indigenous-owned, developed RUFUS, which they say is an innovative solution, to help communities respond to would-be devastating wildfires.
RUFUS works, they say, by creating a humidity bubble of approximately 31,000 square feet, offering protection to everything in its range.
